WANT TO BUILD A SUPER TEAM?

Do you want to re-focus in increasing leadership team capacity, building confidence and effectiveness and have fun whilst doing it?

 

Southern Educational Leadership Trust holds the contract for NCSL’s two prestigious Senior Leadership Team Programmes,

Both programmes build on the leadership provision we currently offer and provide a unique opportunity for senior teams to stand back with real time for reflection and to work strategically over a period of time, with external high quality facilitation and consultancy. Our facilitators are drawn from headship, local authorities, HEIs and Diocesan backgrounds. They have undertaken significant NCSL training and regular updates.

Programme Structure
Both programmmes take approximately 9-12 months to complete and are similiar in that they both include;

  • 2 day residential
  • 3 half day consultancy visits
    (Facilitator visits your school and helps you develop areas within your SLT or school)
  • 1 full day Impact & Evaluation Day / Learning review

How do I know which programme is better for my team?

How much do both programmes cost?
It is not simple as giving you a price per person. The cost depends on a number of factors.

  • How many people are in your SLT
  • The hotel we decide to use for your residential
  • If yo have any Early Headship funding left which you would like to put towards the cost of the programme.
  • It always helps to also let us know if you have a budget to stick to so we can take that inot consideration and tailor the programme to your team's needs.
  • To reduce your costs you may wish to work with a network or cluster of schools, or your friendly neighbour!

The programme although not inexpensive represents excellent value for money in that it enables the professional development for the whole team. It has an excellent track record of supporting school improvement and positioning schools for Ofsted inspections.

Remember you can use your EHP grant towards the cost!

Can I collaborate with another school in my area?
Of course, you can collaborate and participate in the programme of your choice with as many schools as you wish, This also makes the programme work out more affordable for all schools involved.
We have had a number of schools within a cluster recently complete the programme and their feedback is very positive indeed.

If I want to go ahead with the programme how do I apply?
There is no application process with Team Programmes.
Once you have looked at the estimated costings and know that you would like to go ahead with the programme of your choice then simply let Kelly know and she will do the rest. A booking form will be sent out to you, an experienced facilitator will be found to take you through the duration of the programme and the hotel will be booked for your residential.
