SELT believes that high quality research, appropriate resources and practical guidance are essential to support heads and educational leaders in these ever changing times. We have therefore launched an innovative series of workbooks that offer: detailed studies of key leadership themes, and offer a balance of theory and practice, with a sharp focus on effective leadership behaviours.
This series is designed to provide short, authoritative and practically relevant resources to support personal, team and school developmental strategies. Each title balances theory and practice and provides case studies of successful practice.

Effective leadership and Management
This first resource provides the models and language to help readers reflect on their leadership effectiveness and develop a personal framework to guide their professional practice.

Leadership for Collaboration
The second resource looks at strategies and techniques to support collaborative working between schools and school –to- school support and provides a range of case studies of successful practice.

Learning Centred Leadership
This resource focuses on ‘closing the gap’ – strategies to support the leadership of teaching and learning to improve performance and secure equity across the system.

Leadership across the Community
This title explores the relationship between the school and its context – parents, the wider community and other agencies. There is a particular focus on the links between community and educational success.
