All SELT member organisation have an excellent track record in the provision of high quality training and development.
SELT has gained a reputation for high quality delivery of a wide range of leadership development programmes. From a small intake for NPQH in 1996 the organisation is now currently delivering this programme to over 1320 participants throughout the GOSE region and over 2500 colleagues have graduated since 1996. The LfTM programme has been equally successful with currently some 717 participants and 878 already completed. There are now 18 groups and 19 collaboratives in session. In 2003 EMSE successfully incorporated the larger part of the former South central NPQH region following the NCSL re-organisational requirements. The organisation has since gone on to successfully develop an effective working relationship with 19 Local Authorities and 4 Diocesan Authorities within the GOSE region.
The South East region achieves a retention rate of 94% and a 99% pass rate for candidates taking final NPQH assessment. Across the region recruitment is high from small schools, special and faith schools and amongst female senior leaders.
Partners across the region offer a wealth of programmes from middle leadership to those aimed at experienced headteachers.
Members of SELT are involved in key NCSL programmes such as Leading from the Middle, Leadership Pathways, NPQH, Team Leadership, Early Headship, New Visions and Established Leaders.
