Leadership Toolkit

Who is it for?
LT is an introductory leadership programme designed for teachers who are in the early stages of their leadership careers and who would like to make a difference in leading learning and teaching.
The programme is offered initially to schools and colleges in two groups running November - March:
- Kent/Medway at SELT Leadership Centre in Sittingbourne (1 full day + 4 afternoons)
- Surrey/West Sussex at Holiday Inn Gatwick (3 full days). Bespoke regional versions are also offered
What is it about?
The programme is designed and led by Tim Tatham and John Angus. It will provide a toolkit of practical models backed by established research and will enable aspirant leaders to develop leadership tools and for them to feel confident and prepared to make an impact on the quality of children’s learning in their schools. LT covers a range of issues including leading learning and teaching, improvement planning, managing staff, team leadership and leading change.
What will I get out of it?
As an integral part of the programme participants will benefit from school related tasks between the days to ensure relevance and to encourage reflective practice. Participants will feel prepared to take on more responsibility in their schools.
Having enjoyed and been inspired by the programme participants will feel in charge of their leadership destiny.
