Who is it for?
Anyone with an interest in leadership learning, at all levels, across all settings, schools and organisations.
What is it about?
SELT offers bespoke International Learning programmes and activities for anyone looking for an international perspective in their professional development. We can assist you in building a network of international contacts and provide a forum for continued networking with international partners.
Our developing European Leadership Learning Community (ELLC), is just one example of the exciting work going on at SELT in the field of international learning.
SELT can also offer detailed planning and facilitation for International visits. We have links with other international communities across the world. We can help you enrich your organisations learning through making international links. Recent visits include: Dublin, Ireland and Oslo, Norway.
In 2009 SELT facilitated a programme of 'Leading and Managing Change' in partnership with the British Council (Indonesia) and the Ministry of Education (Indonesia), with 120 Indonesian Principals (Primary, Special, Secondary & Vocational).
We are working with Ontario and New South Wales, 2012 onwards, to build a LEAP programme (Leading Educators Around the Planet) and in partnership with St Mary’s University College Twickenham, SELT planned and delivered a four week bespoke programme for groups of Principals from Melbourne, Australia.
What will I get out of it?
SELT’s International work offers an innovative and bespoke opportunity to extend your leadership enquiry into a chosen theme in an international setting. Working collaboratively, and under the guidance of skilled facilitators, you will engage in a leadership dialogue to enrich and deepen your own vision and practice. International visits are not an end in themselves but seen as a catalyst for future networking and collaborative learning. This may be in the field of leadership or creating curricular links for pupils/students.
