Who is it for?
For coaches, mentors and those giving professional support to colleagues SELT offers a range of workshops and opportunities to develop and deepen your expertise.  This might be through attending a workshop, master class or structured programme or through bespoke provision for you and possibly your team.  We can also offer an enquiry-based approach to your learning and access to recent research.  Workshops and opportunities are advertised in our event brochure.  If you are interested in coaching sessions / INSET for your own school or organisation SELT can support you in the design and delivery.

What is it about?

SELT believes that coaching is a powerful tool to build capacity and capability in organisations and is committed to enhancing coaching performance and effectiveness in schools and other educational settings.  As a dedicated leadership centre our core purpose is to support individuals, teams and organisations in providing high quality education to children, young people and other stakeholders and activities can be tailored or co-constructed to support individuals and teams where coaching is being used as a key tool to foster and ensure sustained success.

We have a data-base of experienced and high quality coaches to support you.  You can access 1:1 coaching to meet your needs, face to face or by Skype or telephone.  Alternatively team coaching often yields powerful long-term results.  Coaching offers a great opportunity to engage in structured reflection and take ownership of the important issues facing you, your school or organisation.  SELT already works with collaboratives of schools and federations to enable leaders at all levels to practise their coaching skills.  Lead coaches in these schools have gained the confidence to sustain coaching as an integral part of their leadership and of school improvement.
