THE POWER OF COACHING
Building leadership capacity for self and organisation
SELT believes that coaching is a powerful tool to build capacity in and across schools. SELT
- Is committed to enhancing coach performance for individuals and educational organisations.
- Is established to support individuals, teams and organisations in providing high quality education to their respective stake-holder groups.
For coaches, mentors and professional supporters we offer many workshops to extend and build on your expertise. Workshops can be designed to develop further your skills and can offer an enquiry based approach to your learning. Our coaching workshops will be advertised online or, if you are interested in hosting a workshop for your organisation, SELT can support you in design and delivery.
Programmes can be tailor made to support leadership team development where coaching is being used as a key tool to ensure sustained success.
The SELT coaches facilitating these workshops are all accredited. We have a coach for you living and working locally.
SELT offers a range of coaching options for individuals and groups:
1:1
Coaching with individuals in a confidential and professional context
The most popular option for clients is usually face to face but telephone/Skype coaching is also available.
Cost: £250 for a maximum of three hours or pro-rata.
One day workshop: An introduction to coaching
Appropriate for groups or whole school staff
The programme will include a balance of theory and practice and the opportunity to address real issues. By the end of the day delegates will have a clear understanding of the power and potential of coaching to develop leadership capacity and impact effectively on the organisation.
Cost: Approximately £450 a day – negotiable depending on the number of delegates.
Bespoke coaching programme
A leadership development programme providing in-depth coaching to an individual or a team over a period of six months
Participants will be coached on their own unfolding leadership agenda. The regular coaching sessions will take place in the participants’ own setting and each session can last for approximately two hours, depending on need.
Cost: Approximately £450 per day – negotiable depending on the number of delegates.
School-based coach development programme
A flexible programme designed to develop your own school-based coaches
Delegates will learn the four core skills of coaching and a range of approaches to working with adults and children. The six monthly sessions have been constructed to establish a sound understanding of the theory and practice of coaching.
Cost: Approximately £450 per day – negotiable depending on the number of delegates or pro rata relevant to the agreed timings for the workshops.
Collaborative coaching programme for groups of schools
A one-year programme constructed to support the implementation of coaching across a group of schools
Partnership schools will be invited to identify their own particular coaching focus as a school improvement planning priority. The structure enables each school to develop its own coaching project and at the same time learn from the collaborative activities undertaken with partner schools. This will lead to leadership capacity through lead coaches in each school being trained to deliver at a local level.
Cost: Approximately £450 per day – negotiable depending on the number of delegates or pro rata relevant to the agreed timings for the workshops.
