Wiltshire Council’s Department for Children and Education is very pleased to be a partner in the Enquiry into High Quality Leadership with SELT (the Southern Educational Leadership Trust).

This research project is a key component of our work on leadership development and succession. Local Authority colleagues across all phases are involved in promoting leadership succession in partnership with schools, settings and other providers, including local HEIs. We are also working closely with colleagues from South West organisations and partners in Durham LA.

The key focus for our research is the importance of building high performing teams and the link between this overt activity and the distribution of leadership at all levels.

Findings from the research will be shared on this web site and at the Wiltshire Leadership Festival at the Civic Hall in Trowbridge on November 13th 2009.
