Durham’s Education Development Service is delighted to be part of the 'Enquiry into High Quality Leadership', working in partnership with SELT (the Southern Educational Leadership Trust).

This research project has been developed as part of our School Improvement’s Beacon programme; it sees a range of colleagues, responsible for leadership development in local authorities, schools, HEIs and other institutions across the country, coming together to ask challenging questions about leadership capacity and succession. 

Meetings have already occurred to determine a range of questions and to begin to establish working practices. We look forward to sharing the findings from this challenging and thought provoking enquiry which will uniquely bring together practitioner experiences, case studies and other findings relating to educational and community leadership.

This national project is a fitting way to follow the successes of Durham’s EDS Year of Leadership 2008.
