A brief outline of the programme:
Leadership Pathways is a Leadership Learning programme for school leaders wishing to progress to senior positions. It is a highly effective means of extending leadership understandings, and can be seen as a stepping stone between Leading from the Middle and the National Professional Qualification for Headship
Leadership Pathways - a personalised approach:
Leadership Pathways is highly personalised. In addition to the 3 core face to face sessions - Taking First Steps, Engaging with Change and (at the end of the programme) Celebrating Success, participants undertake an online needs assessment which provides them with an individual 'routemap' through the programme.
The learning experience is built around four areas of learning which are linked to online modules and face to face skills workshops.

Key features of the programme:
The programme is aimed at established leaders:

- potentially aspiring to headship but requiring further development before registering for NPQH;
- interested in learning at this level and looking for open access to development activities.
What makes the programme different?
The programme is unique in a number of ways
- it places the leader’s personal learning needs at the heart of the learning process
- it provides a range of experiences to enable learning to occur within the leader’s own context
- modularisation allows the learner to choose the combination of development opportunities that best suits their current sphere of influence in school and hence optimises their ability to apply their learning
- it is designed around application with a heavy emphasis on work-based learning
- a blended learning experience including rich multimedia online content; peer and expert-led online discussion; practice visits; facilitator- led sessions; tutorials; text messaging and face-to-face sessions
